| Continuing to cover the global game with an old-school look, 2016-17 Donruss Soccer picks up from the brand's debut in 2015. Hobby boxes promise either one autograph or Canvas/Mosaic parallel. Centering on the biggest clubs in the world, including FC Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid, Bayern Munchen, and many more, the base set totals 200 cards. There are also a variety of Holographic parallels to chase and all parallels combine to average one per pack. Panini's take on soccer rookie cards, Donruss Debuts (1:12 packs) highlights over 20 rising stars with their first official cards that average two per box. Breel Embolo, Geoffrey Kondogbia, Gianluigi Donnarumma, and Max Meyer are all slated for cards. Premium options represent the biggest draw for collectors in 2016-17 Donruss Soccer. The Beautiful Game Autographs feature top players of past and present. One big name making his Panini autograph debut is Diego Maradona. These are the first officially licensed autographed cards for the all-time great. There are also Dual and Triple Autographs which combine notable club teammates. Dropping one per pack, the 2016-17 Donruss Soccer inserts cover multiple themes. 35th Anniversary Edition pays homage to the first design for the brand. Dominators also celebrates a notable option from the Donruss history with a well-known insert. Showcasing impressive player images, Picture Perfect lets the photographs do the talking. |
